Lets start at the beginning!!!

Since February of 2009 one of my best friends and I have attended quite a few concerts and bought new music CD's. Now our usual genre of music is rock/heavy metal so it certainly has been entertaining. We actually started with a concert that I bought tickets to because I absolutely love Kevin Costner. I tell everyone all the time that I would go home with Kevin Costner. So when KC and his band announced their tour and it included the Granada Theater in Dallas, TX.... I knew I had to go. So with a little bit of coaxing I talked Becky into going with me. KC and Modern West do not play her kind of music!!!!

She was so surprised when she actually enjoyed the show. I was like so many others when I first heard that Kevin Costner wanted to put an album out; Wow another actor wants to be a singer. If you have not listened to his music then you should check it out because he really can sing. He has this voice that just flows thru the lyrics and blends with the music. My absolute favorite song on the Untold Truths album is Superman 14. The fiddle is awesome. Speaking of the fiddle, Bobby Yang is really fantastic. He is so energized on stage. He does have several albums out including Yang It! and No 1 Tribute. They are of course instrumental but they are awesome. As you can see I love all kinds of music so these albums are worth checking out.

Not only were we both surprised at how great the show was, we loved the small venue. It allowed for a really intimate setting with the artist and I got unbelievable pictures. Kevin and the band played all of the songs on their album plus a few from other artists and one or two from an upcoming album. Mostly I couldn't believe how close I was to my "other husband" and I was not getting thrown out for jumping on stage with him!!!! Trust me the thought crossed my mind more than once.

On our way home from the show Becky and I were talking and she said she really wanted to go see Motley Crue. So I said, you find a concert within driving distance and we will go see them. This started our journey of music and concerts. Keep checking back for more reviews and concert updates......
